My name is Dr. Yarennis Isabel Guzmán Vásquez, a specialist in Endodontics, educator, researcher, and international lecturer based in the Dominican Republic. I earned my degree from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and completed my specialty training in Endodontics at Universidad Católica Santo Domingo (UCSD). I also hold a Master’s degree in Higher Education Teaching and Management.

I currently serve as Co-Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Endodontics and Microscopy at Universidad Católica Nordestana (UCNE) and I am the Head of Service at Dr. Mario Fernández Mena Hospital. I am the owner and Endodontist at Stylo Dental and have over 15 years of clinical and academic experience.

I am the former President of the Dominican Society of Endodontics (2018–2020) and an active member of National and International Endodontic Organizations, including SELA. As a certified trainer for multiple international dental companies, such as Itena, Ramo Medical, Zarc4Endo, Woodpecker, Dentsply Maillefer and Meta Biomed, I’ve delivered more than 30 National and International lectures. My work includes multiple research projects, peer-reviewed publications, and national awards recognizing excellence in dental care.

My clinical philosophy integrates biological principles, biomaterials science, and restorative synergy to achieve predictable, long-term outcomes in modern endodontics.

The DNA of Obturation: From Bioceramics to Restorative Success

Location: Online

This lecture explores the biological and clinical foundations of successful root canal obturation through the concept of the “DNA of Obturation.” Participants will analyze the essential factors that determine long-term endodontic success, including bacterial control, irrigant activation, three dimensional sealing, the clinical application of bioceramic materials, and the importance of immediate coronal sealing.

The course integrates current scientific evidence, clinical protocols, and real case documentation to demonstrate how obturation, restoration, and material selection must function as a single, integrated system. Emphasis is placed on achieving predictable, biologically sound, and restorative-driven outcomes in modern endodontic practice.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this lecture, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the biological principles that govern successful root canal obturation.
2. Explain the clinical applications and advantages of bioceramic materials in endodontics.
3. Integrate endodontic and restorative protocols to achieve predictable and stable long-term outcomes.
