Integrated Dental–Medical Service Models: A Case Study in Multi-Site Practice Development and Specialist Healthcare Expansion

Location: Online

This session explores my journey from owning a single dental practice in North Wales to developing a growing multi-site dental group, implementing an integrated dental–healthcare membership model (Plan4Health), and now establishing one of Wales’s first privately developed specialist medical centres.

Drawing on real-world experience across acquisitions, operational structuring, private GP integration, and the design of a modular hospital facility, the course will provide practical insight for practice owners, clinicians, and entrepreneurs looking to diversify, scale, or future-proof their businesses. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and strategic decisions involved in building a vertically integrated healthcare organization.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the strategic steps involved in scaling from a single dental practice to a multi-site healthcare organization, including acquisitions, staffing, compliance, and operational systems.
  2. Analyse the structure and implementation of an integrated dental–healthcare membership plan, including benefits, patient engagement, pricing models, and long-term growth potential.
  3. Evaluate the process of planning, funding, and developing a specialist medical centre, including collaboration with consultants, use of modular theatre solutions, and alignment with NHS waiting-list demand.
